Recently, Brundle confirmed that he is ready to get behind the wheel again at the end of this month.
Together with his son Alex and historic racing specialist Gary Pearson, he will participate in a race at the famous Spa Francorchamps track in Belgium this weekend.
This trio will compete in a Ford GT40 during the classic Spa Six Hours race.
Alex Brundle was the first to announce the news on social media, stating:
“Well, it’s about time…! Martin Brundle will share the driving of our GT40 with me and Gary Pearson at the classic Spa Six Hours this weekend.”
Brundle himself confirmed the information by reposting the post and adding:
“I just wanted to drive Alex’s GT40 with him. Even during GP weekends, we don’t see each other often, so this is a rare opportunity to spend time together. Alex and I drove at Le Mans in 2012 in Jaguar E-types, so this will be interesting.”

“I haven’t competed for three years since Goodwood Revival, but I enjoy working with Gary.”
“I hadn’t driven the GT40 before testing it at Silverstone ahead of the festival. I wanted to see if I liked it, and I did, so we decided to head to Spa.”
However, Brundle has downplayed any expectations regarding results.
He added:
“I have no ambitions regarding results. I love Spa and this car, but I haven’t tried it with a full tank yet. It will be interesting.”
Brundle had a successful career in motorsport both inside and outside of F1. In 1990, he won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in 1988 became the winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona.

His participation in the classic Spa Six Hours race alongside his son and expert Gary Pearson underscores his longstanding connection to motorsport, even after several years away. Brundle remains an important figure in the world of motorsport, and this return could mark yet another exciting chapter in his career. Read also
