The occupiers are looking for places to break through, while the Ukrainian defense is strengthening

In the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the occupiers are trying to find ways to break through the Ukrainian defense. At the same Time, the Ukrainian forces are strengthening in the region, reported the spokesman of the Joint Forces Operation 'Khortytsia', Viktor Trehubov.

According to him, the Russian army in Donetsk and Luhansk is facing supply problems and loss of personnel.

«They are looking for at least some places where there is a potential opportunity for a breakthrough. However, now the Ukrainian forces are gradually, but steadily increasing, while the Russians are facing a crisis, including supply issues and personnel loss,» said Trehubov.

However, he emphasized that the occupiers have not abandoned their goal to reach the administrative borders of the regions.

«They are very far from achieving this goal. Even the part of the Luhansk region that they could not capture earlier, they still cannot conquer. Now there is an escalation in our Luhansk direction,» the spokesman reported.

Trehubov also pointed out that the occupiers actively use motorcycles and trucks for movement, as columns of heavy equipment and tanks are quickly destroyed by drones.

Strikes were inflicted on the Russian aggressor by the UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, the oil refinery in the Ryazan region, which was of significant importance for the occupiers' army, was damaged. Explosions were recorded in the area of the plant.

The warm weather has also complicated the Russians' advancement in the Kupiansk direction, especially near the Oskil River. The logistics of the occupiers in this area are disrupted, as they will have to use small floating craft.
