Russia prepares to repel the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Crimea — how exactly.
Against the backdrop of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's strikes on military facilities in Crimea, Russians are increasingly fearful of a full-scale offensive on the peninsula. Thus, Russian military forces have already begun to equip new concrete firing points on the roads near Sevastopol.
Residents of Sevastopol and its surroundings notice new firing points on all major roads leading to the city, as well as at the exits from them. They are qualitatively different from those that were recorded earlier.
Old firing points were built only from sandbags. In the new ones, the lower part is made of concrete blocks, while the upper part consists of timber and planks. This may indicate either preparation for repelling a possible Armed Forces of Ukraine offensive on Crimea or misappropriation of funds that Russia allocates for the 'defense' of the occupied peninsula.
The military situation in Crimea remains tense, with all signs of a possible armed confrontation between Russian and Ukrainian forces. Even now, residents of the peninsula are feeling the effects of this tension, observing an escalation of the military-political situation at the border.
