Problems with electricity in the Kursk region arose after the fall of drones and missiles shot down by Russia. This was reported by Alexey Smirnov, acting governor of the Kursk region.
As a result of the fall of fragments of a Ukrainian drone on a transformer substation in one of the districts of the Kursk region, a fire broke out. Electricity supply is absent in the city of Kurchatov and in certain areas of the Kurchatovsky, Oktyabrsky, Bolshesoldatsky, Oboyansky, Belovsky districts. Emergency work is being carried out. Connection of consumers is planned according to backup schemes.
Russian soldiers are preparing to defend the Kursk NPP due to the approach of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Russian security forces have already blocked access to the Kursk nuclear power plant after lunch.
In Kurchatov, where the Kursk nuclear power plant is located, hostilities are being conducted at a distance of "several dozen kilometers". The Ukrainian Armed Forces already control Kazachya Loknya, Mirny, Kruglik, and Bondarevka. Ukrainian troops also entered Martynovka in the south and entered Korenovo and Olgovka from the front.
Some units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are located at a distance of about 30 km from the Kursk NPP. The problem in organizing defense in the Kursk direction remains the fragmentation of units and the lack of forces. This is reported by propaganda media.
Vladimir Putin held an operational meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council.
It should be noted that the Russian Ministry of Defense acknowledged that hostilities in the Kursk region have spread to the city of Sudzha.
