Russia has concentrated its strike force near Lyman: why this is a key direction.
According to ТСН: In the area of Lyman, the Russian Federation has concentrated its main forces. The defense forces are actively working to prevent the capture of this city.
Situation at the front
This was reported by the spokesman of the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade on the air of 'KYIV24'.
'The enemy has now concentrated its main strike force from the 20th army against us. This is our biggest difficulty because the enemy's ratio may be from 1 to 6 or from 1 to 10. In terms of the number of personnel, this is the biggest complication,' he notes.
According to him, Lyman is an important 'gateway' to Slovyansk. However, there is the Siversky Donets River that needs to be crossed, which also complicates the situation.
'Even if the enemy captures Lyman, it will not mean an immediate advance to Slovyansk,' the military concluded.
Enemy reinforcements
Earlier, it was reported that Russia has reinforced the Lyman direction, which is considered key for plans to capture Donetsk region.
'The enemy has strengthened the Lyman direction with infantry, which is constantly trying to infiltrate in small groups into our rear. They see it as one of the 'decisive' ones for implementing their plans to capture the Donetsk region,' noted Stanislav Bunyatov.
He also pointed out that this direction is gradually gaining importance for the defense of Slovyansk.
The situation in Lyman remains tense, and the activity of Russian forces indicates their intentions to continue the offensive towards Donetsk region. The defense forces are focusing their efforts on detecting and repelling enemy attacks, which may significantly affect the further development of events in the region.
