According to The Sun: Chelsea Claire, Ricky Hatton's ex-girlfriend, expressed her condolences after his passing, calling him an 'inspiration.'
The model, who is 14 years younger than Ricky, began dating him in 2023 after a chance meeting at a Spanish club.

Chelsea shared a photo with Ricky on social media, writing:
“A broken heart cannot express what I and others are feeling.”
“You were an inspiration to many, and I was lucky to call you my partner.”
“You will be greatly missed.”
The couple met in August at The Dubliner bar in Playa de las Américas and quickly became inseparable.
Ricky, known as 'The Hitman', dazzled Chelsea with his karaoke skills and fun dancing during their first meeting.
Recalling that evening, Chelsea, who lives near Glasgow, mentioned:
“I didn’t know who he was, but my friend suggested buying him a drink.”
“He looked at me and asked what I wanted.”
Chelsea emphasized that their romance lasted only four months as their age difference became a problem. She admitted to her pain from the breakup:
“People said it was just a fling, but I loved him.”
Ricky Hatton, whose career spanned from 1997 to 2012, had recently announced his return to the ring in Dubai. After retirement, he struggled with alcohol issues and depression but managed to return to a normal life.

“We can confirm that at 6:45 today, September 14, we found a body at an address in G Cross.”
