The electric vehicle market in October hits records: what Ukrainians choose.
Growth in demand for used electric vehicles in Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: The Ukrainian market for used electric vehicles has seen a significant increase in demand. In October 2025, 7,596 'freshly imported' electric vehicles were registered, setting a new record. Analysts note that the import of electric vehicles has doubled the volume of internal resales, accounting for 57.3% of the total volume of the used electric vehicle market.
Tesla leads the external market with the Model Y, which outpaces the Model 3. At the same time, on the domestic market, Ukrainians choose the Nissan Leaf, which competes with the Volkswagen e-Golf.
The demand for electric vehicles is growing due to the approaching return of VAT on the import of these cars from 2026, which will complicate logistics processes and limit the availability of vehicles from abroad. Therefore, those who plan to take advantage of the benefits should hurry, as the best options will be available in November-December.
The growth in demand for electric vehicles in Ukraine indicates a change in consumer preferences and the readiness of citizens for more ecological transport solutions. Given the return of VAT, the country may witness a revival in the electric vehicle market as Ukrainians try to take advantage of favorable offers in the coming months.
