Christmas drones attacked North Korean troops in Kursk (video).
Ukrainian forces suffered significant losses during the assault on their positions in the Kursk region, Forbes reports. During the battle, approximately 200 soldiers were killed or wounded. Part of these losses resulted from the use of explosive drones by Ukrainian forces equipped with Christmas ornaments.
According to experts, the loss of foreign military lives indicates the seriousness of the situation. Ukrainian forces adeptly utilized this advantage and repelled Russian attacks, allowing them to reclaim the village of Plekhove.
In total, there are 60,000 military personnel in Russia and North Korea, while the Ukrainian side has only 20,000. However, attacking in open terrain is more challenging than defending from fortifications, which negates the numerical advantage of the opponent.
The initial assaults by Russian-North Korean forces included moving in straight lines without adequate artillery or air support. The demonstration of the negating advantage of Ukrainian forces and the skilled work of drone operators led to high losses on the enemy side.
North Korean military losses in Kursk amount to a hundred dead and a thousand wounded. The losses are related to the inexperience of their military in using drones and a lack of knowledge of the territory where they must participate in battles.
