Part-time Work: New Rules for Recording Entries in the Employment Book.
Ukrainian legislation allows individuals to work for multiple companies simultaneously. This type of work, known as part-time employment, has its own rules, particularly regarding entries in the employment book.
According to Article 102-1 of the Labor Code of Ukraine, employees are permitted to engage in additional paid work outside of their main work schedule.
Main Points Regarding Part-time Work
Part-time employment involves performing additional work by employees at different times, beyond their main work schedule. This can be within the same company (internal part-time employment) or at other workplaces (external part-time employment). Part-time work can be full-time or part-time, and it can be arranged for any duration.
- Work at the main place and part-time can have the same or different schedules.
- The salary for part-time employees is calculated according to the actual work done. Taxes are deducted from it according to the law.
- Only employers at the main workplace can enter information about part-time work. Records in the employment book must be made upon the employee's dismissal from the additional job.
Rules for Entering Information in the Employment Book
Entries about part-time work in an employee's employment book are made according to the instructions approved by the relevant authorities. This information is provided only by the employer where the employee performed the additional work.
It is essential to adhere to the rules for making entries in the employment book, as this is a mandatory norm for registering the employee's work activity.
Ukrainians can take advantage of the opportunity to work part-time while following the established rules and procedures that regulate this type of activity.
