The spectacular gesture of Rory McIlroy at the Ryder
According to The Sun: Rory McIlroy showed great style as he comforted Keegan Bradley's children despite the taunts he faced during the tournament.

Unpleasant atmosphere at the Ryder
Rory emotionally reacted to the taunts, but after Europe's victory with a score of 15-13, he took the time to talk to Bradley's children. The captain of Team USA's boys were present at the event, and McIlroy hugged one of them, expressing his sympathy.
This gesture was an example of 'class and composure', as McIlroy himself mentioned after the victory. He showed restraint in a difficult situation.
After securing the Ryder Cup, Rory humorously noted that fans should have been better controlled.
He said: “I would have liked them to let the dogs off leashes.
“The police at the event and the heavy security presence were just great.
“Look, nothing serious happened. There were no physical altercations, but there was a lot of language that was unacceptable and offensive.
“We shouldn’t accept that in golf.
“This week has been tough for all of us. But at the same time, we shut them up with our game.
“I sometimes responded to them because it got to me, but we tried to take everything with class and composure, and in most cases, I feel we did.”
Support from his wife in a difficult situation
Rory faced unpleasant shouts regarding his personal life throughout the week, and his wife Erica heard it all. He expressed his gratitude to her for showing “class, composure, and dignity” after being targeted by harsh attacks from the crowd in New York, including an incident where a beer bottle was thrown at her on Saturday.
Emotionally exhausted, McIlroy, who lost his singles match to world number one Scottie Scheffler, added: “This shouldn’t be normal, but obviously that was the case this week.
“Erica is okay. She is a very strong woman.
“She faced all the difficulties of this week with class, composure, and dignity, as always.
“I love her, and we will celebrate this evening.”
The situation at the Ryder became a vivid example of how sports can unite, even in difficult times. Rory McIlroy proved that true class and composure come to the forefront when it matters, and the support of loved ones in such situations is invaluable. In Rory's words, this week was not only a test for him but also for his wife, but the joint celebration of victory became a worthy response to the hardships. Clearly, golf is not just a competition, but an important part of the lives of athletes that encourages them to stick together in the toughest moments.
