According to UATV: On February 17, Russian forces launched a fresh assault against Ukraine, targeting residential buildings and energy infrastructure across multiple regions, including Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, and Kirovohrad. These attacks resulted in civilian deaths and injuries, underscoring the severe situation in the affected areas. This latest wave of strikes is part of a broader Russian campaign that has increasingly targeted civilian infrastructure over the past year.
The attack occurred overnight on February 17, with a total of 12 Ukrainian regions coming under fire. In Odesa, three people were wounded by drone strikes, including an explosion on the 22nd floor of a residential complex. In Dnipropetrovsk region, a Russian UAV attacked a civilian car, hospitalizing the driver. In Sumy region, a woman was killed and six others were wounded. In Kirovohrad region, a private house was set ablaze as a result of hostile action.

Furthermore, in Donetsk region, a UAV struck a vehicle carrying workers from the Slaviansk Thermal Power Plant, killing three of them. Overall, more than a dozen residential buildings and pieces of critical infrastructure were damaged, reaffirming the high level of threat to the civilian population.
