Frontline Situation on February 15, 2023
According to UATV: On February 15, 2023, Russian military forces launched assaults across nine sectors of the front, resulting in 217 combat engagements in Ukraine. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported intense fighting, with 58 clashes recorded on the Pokrovsk axis and 26 attempted breakthroughs on the Konstantynivka front. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 24 enemy attacks in the vicinity of nine settlements.
Since the full-scale invasion began, Russia's total combat losses have surpassed 1,253,000 personnel. In the past day alone, 1,250 occupiers were eliminated. Ukrainian defense forces destroyed significant enemy hardware, including:
- four Russian tanks,
- six armored combat vehicles,
- over 10 artillery systems,
- three multiple launch rocket systems.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated: 'Ukraine's defense forces will continue systematic efforts to degrade the enemy's combat capabilities and destroy its military infrastructure until Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine is fully halted.'
Military expert Mykola Malomuzh noted: 'We halted the advances they had made in various sectors, then conducted a series of sabotage operations, followed by larger-scale counterattacks across all fronts, including Huliaipole.' Additionally, Ihor Romanenko reported that 'Resources from seven divisions were deployed in the Huliaipole, Pokrovsk, Kupiansk areas and on a number of other axes.' The scale of these deployments underscores the breadth of the current Russian offensive effort.
Frontline Activity and Ukrainian Countermeasures
These developments indicate the continuation of intense combat operations across Ukraine and the ongoing efforts of Ukrainian forces to degrade key enemy military assets. The frontline situation remains highly volatile as both sides intensify their efforts to achieve strategic objectives. The widespread fighting across multiple axes may signal preparations for new offensives by either side, a situation demanding close observation from the international community and security analysts. This persistent high-intensity warfare continues to shape the conflict's dynamics nearly two years after Russia's full-scale invasion.
