March 10 Attack on Ukraine

According to UATV: On March 10, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine, targeting the city of Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The assault, carried out using drones, struck a district police headquarters and a Ukrainian National Police service vehicle. This attack is part of Russia's ongoing campaign of long-range strikes against Ukrainian territory. As a result, five police officers and one civilian were injured.

A 43-year-old police officer sustained severe injuries in the attack. Another officer, aged 38, and three other law enforcement personnel received additional wounds. The strike completely destroyed two service vehicles. Furthermore, a 31-year-old woman and her four-year-old daughter suffered shrapnel wounds from the impact.

Scale of the Aggression

On that same day, March 10, the Russian military launched a total of 137 attack drones against Ukraine, underscoring the scale and intensity of the ongoing aggression. The strike on Nikopol was one component of this broader military operation in the region. The widespread use of drones has become a hallmark of this conflict, challenging air defenses and enabling strikes deep behind the front lines.

This incident highlights the continuation of the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine, particularly the use of unmanned aerial vehicles to target both civilian and military infrastructure. The intensity of such attacks indicates that the situation in the region remains highly volatile, with the security of both the population and law enforcement under constant threat. These developments continue to shape the military and political strategic calculations of both sides involved in the war.
