Five Civilians Wounded as Russian Forces Target Eight Settlements in Kharkiv Region
According to Novyny.live: Russian military forces carried out attacks on eight settlements in the Kharkiv region over the past day, wounding five civilians and causing significant damage to infrastructure. Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov reported that the victims ranged in age and included:
- A 41-year-old man in the village of Husynka,
- A 56-year-old woman and men aged 78 and 74 in the city of Chuhuiv,
- A 55-year-old woman in the village of Sadove, who suffered an acute stress reaction.
The assaults employed six guided aerial bombs (KABs), nine 'Geran-2' attack drones, one 'Molniya' type drone, and one FPV drone. Damage was recorded in the Izium, Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Lozova, and Kupiansk districts. A private home was hit in the village of Oskil, while the roof of an apartment building was damaged in the village of Staryi Saltiv. Additionally, a car was damaged in the village of Spodobivka, Kupiansk district.
These strikes are part of a broader escalation of hostilities along the northeastern front, where Russian forces have intensified pressure in recent months. The consequences of the Russian attacks on the Kharkiv region have resulted not only in civilian casualties but also in serious infrastructure destruction, requiring urgent restoration efforts.
