Attacks on Civilian Infrastructure in Ukraine

According to UATV: On June 27, 2023, Russian forces carried out strikes targeting civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, including a residential building in Kherson and gas stations in the Kharkiv region, resulting in casualties.

In Kherson, a multi-story apartment block was hit. A 47-year-old man sustained severe injuries, including blast and closed head trauma, concussion, and shrapnel wounds to his abdomen, arms, and legs. This incident highlights a troubling pattern of attacks on civilian sites, endangering the lives of non-combatants.

Developments in the Kharkiv Region

In the Kharkiv region, specifically in Derhachi, Russian troops struck gas stations twice. At 1:40 PM, a drone hit the premises of a gas station, damaging its fence and several vehicles. A second attack wounded a 41-year-old woman. Emergency services reported a fire covering 400 square meters at one of the stations.

According to the State Emergency Service, over the past week, the Russian army shelled 15 regions of Ukraine, using 1,400 attack drones, 1,500 guided aerial bombs, and about 20 missiles. These figures underscore the scale and severity of the situation facing Ukraine amid ongoing military aggression.

Attacks on civilian objects in Ukraine continue to raise alarm, as they critically impact the safety of ordinary people. The increasing number of military actions confirms the escalation of the conflict, threatening not only physical security but also the country's overall infrastructure. Amid this constant threat, it is vital for the international community to respond to these events by supporting Ukraine in its fight for security and sovereignty.
