Russia is massively cutting down forests in the occupied Donetsk region.
In the Donetsk region, which is currently temporarily occupied, the enemy, together with local collaborators, has begun actively cutting down forests. This was reported by the National Resistance Center (NRC).
According to the report, after the logging, the wood is sold and sent abroad by rail and sea. All this is happening against the backdrop of total pollution of the occupied region of Ukraine.
The National Resistance Center notes that the policy of the Russian occupier is aimed at destroying all living things everywhere. And this applies to both the civilian population and the environment.
The NRC also recalls that the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) is now experiencing a waste management crisis, with almost 4 million tons of waste accumulated.
We remind that Russia plans to build six landfills in the Luhansk region and three more in the Donetsk region.
As previously reported, the enemy has removed more than 80 thousand tons of Ukrainian grain from Donetsk. This became another example of the new tactic of Russian invaders to deprive Ukrainians of their property in the temporarily occupied territories.
