Russia mobilizes residents of occupied territories: new recruits identified in the military.
The information about the involvement of residents of temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine in the Russian army is provided by the spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn. He noted that among the new reinforcements in one of the units of the Russian Airborne Forces, about 50 mobilized individuals were identified, the majority of whom are residents of the occupied areas of Luhansk region.
Earlier, the Russian higher military-political leadership publicly claimed that residents of temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories would not be conscripted into the Russian army. However, reality tells a different story. 'Although the Russian higher military-political leadership has always stated that residents of occupied territories would not be involved in the Russian army, they are now mobilizing men and sending them to war with Ukraine, particularly in the southern directions, to Kherson region,' emphasized Voloshyn.
According to inkorr.com: The spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, reported that the Russian army has begun actively involving residents of temporarily occupied Ukrainian regions into its ranks. This casts doubt on previous statements made by Moscow about the absence of mobilization among the local population. Such actions by the Russian military may increase tensions in eastern Ukraine and escalate the situation in the region.
The current situation raises concerns among the international community. The mobilization of residents of occupied territories, despite previous promises from the Russian leadership, may indicate a readiness to continue military actions in Ukraine. This, in turn, will affect the strategy of Ukrainian forces and may lead to new challenges in the fight for the restoration of the territorial integrity of the country.
