About 30,000 troops will participate in the 'Zapad-2025' military exercises in Russia and Belarus, said Mindaugas Majonas, head of the Second Operational Department of Lithuania. In particular, 8,000 personnel will be involved in Belarus, including 2,000 Russian servicemen.According to him, although the probability of hybrid attacks during the exercises is low, individual provocations may occur, such as violations of airspace or cyber incidents. It is worth noting that the 'Zapad' exercises are scheduled for September 12-16 and are intended to practice defensive components and tactical air support.Incidents may occur during the exercises, but overall Lithuania assesses the risks as quite low. However, Russian units have already arrived in Belarus to participate in these joint exercises. Such information has appeared on the Freedom portal, which refers to Delfi.
