Russia uses new AI drones on the front: how the Armed Forces of Ukraine counter technology.
At the front in Ukraine, a new modification of the Russian drone with artificial intelligence V2U has been noticed. According to military radio technology specialist Sergey 'Flash' Beskrestnov, this platform was previously used as an attack drone, but now an intelligence version has appeared for gathering information on the battlefield.
AI drones V2U have been observed on all fronts and differ from the attack modification in design. After completing the task, the drone lands using a parachute instead of returning to base in the traditional way. Among the drone's spare parts, various types of use have been found: attack, reconnaissance, and courier for delivering items to Russian troops. The developer of the device remains unknown, but it is known that there are no Russian components among the spare parts.
It has been noted that the drones are used for reconnaissance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Observing the movements of Ukrainian troops can give the Russian side an advantage in the conflict. The information about the use of different types of drones with artificial intelligence and their capabilities on the battlefield is also important.
