Ukrainian Commander Reports Over 715,000 Russian Troops Amassed for War
According to TSN.ua: Russia continues to build up its military forces for the war against Ukraine, with the total size of its occupation force now exceeding 715,000 personnel. The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stressed that the frontline situation remains difficult and emphasized the urgent need to strengthen air defense systems. This massive troop concentration represents a significant escalation since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022.
The enormous enemy force, which numbers more than 715,000 soldiers, poses serious challenges for Ukrainian defenders. Oleksandr Syrskyi stated:
'To continue its war against Ukraine, Russia has deployed a combined military grouping with a total strength of more than 715,000 personnel.' Oleksandr Syrskyi
Furthermore, he pointed out that Russia has not ceased its missile and air strikes against critical economic targets:
'Russia continues to inflict missile and air strikes on critical objects of our economy.' Oleksandr Syrskyi
Consequently, Ukraine faces a significant shortage of air defense capabilities. Syrskyi underscored the importance of this issue, noting: 'Our primary task must remain creating the conditions for a just peace by strengthening our military capabilities.'
International Support for Ukraine
Meanwhile, representatives from NATO countries have expressed their readiness to continue supporting Ukraine. This aspect of international backing could become a crucial factor in countering the aggressor, given the current operational situation in the region.
The situation on the front remains tense, and the scale of Russian forces indicates the potential for further escalation of the conflict. Support from NATO and other international partners could provide Ukraine with the necessary resources to bolster its defenses. The importance of air defense is becoming increasingly evident amid constant attacks on critical objects and infrastructure, requiring urgent measures to protect the country.
