Mass Drone Strike Hits Sumy Region: Two Dead, One Injured.
Deadly Overnight Attack on Sumy Oblast
According to Novyny.live: Russia launched a large-scale drone assault on Ukraine's Sumy region during the night of June 10, 2023. The attack killed two civilians and wounded another. Russian forces deployed combat drones across 19 different communities within the oblast, causing widespread damage.
The victims include a 57-year-old man from the Putivl community and a 73-year-old man from the Velyka Pysarivka community. Additionally, a woman was injured in the Putivl community. Three residential buildings in Putivl were damaged as a result of the strikes.
Military Response and Broader Implications
In total, Russia launched 207 attack drones against Ukraine overnight on June 10. Ukrainian forces successfully intercepted and destroyed 181 of them. This incident highlights the ongoing Russian aggression and its direct impact on civilian safety in Ukraine.
