Drone Strike on Odesa Leaves City Without Power, Heat, or Water.
Odesa Under Attack
According to Novyny.live: Russian forces launched a drone assault on Odesa overnight between February 12 and 13, causing severe disruptions to the city's electricity, heating, and water supply. Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported the consequences of the strike, noting widespread outages across the Odesa district. This attack is part of a broader Russian campaign targeting Ukraine's critical infrastructure and port cities.
The attack damaged residential, industrial, and port infrastructure. Specifically, one of the enemy drones struck a high-rise building. Four people were injured as a result of the shelling.
Regional Tensions Escalate
This was not an isolated incident; Russian troops also shelled Odesa on the night of February 11. The situation in the city remains difficult due to the cumulative effects of these aggressive actions.
The continuation of attacks on Odesa highlights the rising tension in the region and the ongoing threat to civilians. Restoring infrastructure after such strikes will require significant effort and resources. These events also underscore the urgent need to strengthen security systems and protect civilian sites during military conflicts.
