According to ТСН: On December 2, the Russian army struck with drones at the energy infrastructure in the Odesa region. As a result, a fire broke out, and equipment was damaged.

Injured and Consequence Management

The head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleg Kiper, reported that, unfortunately, a worker of the enterprise was injured and hospitalized in serious condition. Medics are providing the necessary assistance.

Rescuers promptly extinguished the fire, and work is currently ongoing to mitigate the consequences of the attack. Law enforcement has recorded yet another crime by the Russian Federation against the peaceful population of Odesa region.

The Attack and Its Consequences

On the night of December 2, Russia also attacked the Odesa region, as a result of which damage was recorded:

  • energy facilities;

  • administrative buildings;

  • some households in the private sector.

“The fire was promptly extinguished by rescuers; however, the attack caused power outages. No information about casualties or injuries has been received,” the State Emergency Service reported.

This incident is further evidence of the ongoing aggression of Russia against Ukraine, which is particularly aimed at critical infrastructure. The consequences of such attacks pose serious problems for the livelihood of the population, as power supply disruptions negatively affect essential services that rely on electricity. Ukrainian rescue services continue to work under constant threat, demonstrating professionalism and promptness in mitigating the aftermath.
