Russians have fortified themselves in the border village of Hrabovske: what is happening in Hrabovske.
According to ТСН: The Russian occupation forces continue to terrorize the border areas of Sumy region, intensifying their actions near the state border.
According to Viktor Trehubov, the head of the communication department of the Joint Forces Group, the situation in Hrabovske remains tense. The Russian troops control only the southern part of the village, where combat clashes with Ukrainian military continue.
Situation in Hrabovske
Trehubov noted:
“They cannot advance further, but nevertheless, in the village itself, which is on the border, they are currently entrenched.”
The main problem of defending Hrabovske is its geographical location, as the village is located on the border line, complicating the creation of defensive lines.
How many Russians have entered Hrabovske
The defense forces estimate the number of Russian troops in the area at approximately 100 individuals. These are not recruits, but trained military personnel from a motorized rifle brigade of the Russian army. Trehubov clarified:
“These are relatively ordinary troops... But these are individuals who have undergone training.”
Is there a threat of a breakthrough in defense
At the moment, there are no signs of preparations for a large-scale offensive operation by Russian troops. The military believes that this attack pursues other goals. Trehubov emphasized that it looks like
“a singular operation”, aimed at achieving an informational or political effect, to report the “capture” of new territories.
It is also worth noting that recently Russian troops entered the territory of the village, evacuating 50 civilians during combat activities in this area.
This situation in Hrabovske further highlights the challenges faced by Ukrainian forces in the conditions of ongoing combat operations. Tension in the border areas remains high, and the actions of Russian troops raise serious concerns among the local population and military personnel. The situation is being monitored and the military hopes for stabilization soon.
