Russians advanced into Vovchansk: how the situation on the front has changed.
According to ТСН: Russian forces continue active operations in Vovchansk, trying to establish themselves among the ruins of this city.
Situation in Vovchansk
This was reported by a lieutenant colonel, head of the press service of the 'Fortress' brigade. According to him, 'the situation is quite complicated. The city is destroyed and does not resemble itself at all. The center of the city is hard to recognize. Due to certain bad weather, fogs, the Russians have managed to advance a bit in the center. Currently, the situation is stable — there is no fog, frosts and changes in the weather are observed. This allows for more active use of UAVs to monitor the situation on the battlefield. Therefore, enemy assaults have become less intense.'
He clarified that, despite the difficult conditions, Ukrainian troops continue to hold their positions.
Operations of the Ukrainian military
In the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, commenting on numerous statements from Russia about the alleged capture of Ukrainian territories, emphasized that the Defense Forces continue to destroy the enemy in Pokrovsk and Vovchansk, and also carry out operations to eliminate areas occupied by the enemy, despite pressure from their side.
According to the Ukrainian information resource DeepState, the report dated December 24 indicates the advance of Russians only in Vovchansk. On the updated interactive maps of the project, the southern part of the city and the village of Vylcha remain in the gray zone.
Thus, combat operations in Vovchansk continue to be tense. Ukrainian defenders, despite all difficulties, show resilience and readiness to fight for their territories. The further development of events in the region will remain in the spotlight, as the situation can change at any moment, considering the activity of both sides. It is important to follow updates and support our military during this difficult time.
