According to UATV: On June 8, 2023, Russian occupation forces launched an attack on Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, killing one person and injuring ten others. The military carried out more than 40 strikes, causing extensive damage to local communities. This offensive is part of the ongoing war that began in 2022, with civilians continuing to bear the brunt of the violence.

Communities hit hard

The affected communities include:

  • Nikopol
  • Marhanets
  • Pokrovsk
  • Myrove

Among the injured, two people are hospitalized in serious condition, while five others are receiving outpatient care. In the Synelnykove district, the Slavic and Mykolaiv communities were hit, leaving a 40-year-old man wounded and hospitalized in moderate condition.

In the Pavlohrad district, the Bohdanivka community also suffered, with a 62-year-old man hospitalized in moderate condition. Kryvyi Rih came under attack as well, damaging local infrastructure. Separately, in Odesa, a strike injured three people: two women aged 64 and 65, and a 55-year-old minibus driver.

The situation in the region remains tense, as residents continue to endure the consequences of military actions. Emergency services and medical facilities are working to assist victims, but the constant threats make the situation increasingly difficult, adding psychological trauma to the physical toll on the population.
