Chuhuiv District Targeted by Drone Assault
According to Novyny.live: Russian drone attacks targeted settlements in the Chuhuiv district of the Kharkiv region overnight, resulting in injuries to 12 civilians. The assault was carried out in two waves. The first strike occurred around 11:00 PM on March 4 in the village of Novopokrovka, wounding two men, a woman, and a 17-year-old girl.
A second attack followed around 12:30 AM on March 5 in the village of Kamiana Yaruga, injuring a 48-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man. Additionally, a 68-year-old woman sought medical aid for an acute stress reaction. These attacks are part of a broader pattern of strikes on civilian areas far from the front lines. In total, 12 people were injured across the two Chuhuiv district locations.
Impact on the Civilian Population
These events underscore the ongoing escalation of the conflict in eastern Ukraine and its severe consequences for non-combatants. Drone strikes inflict significant harm on local communities, causing both physical injuries and profound psychological trauma.
Such incidents highlight the precarious situation in the region and the critical need to ensure the protection of civilians during wartime.
