Russian drones once again violated NATO airspace: alarm in Poland and Romania.
In the evening of September 13, air raid sirens sounded in Romania and Poland due to the threat of an attack by Russian strike drones. According to Digi24, drones violated the airspace of both NATO countries, forcing local security services to react immediately.
According to inkorr.com: The Romanian Emergency Situations Inspectorate warned residents of the northern part of Tulcea County about the 'probability of falling objects from the airspace'. According to the agency, the alarm lasted approximately one and a half hours.
Warning in Poland
A similar situation occurred in Poland around 7:15 PM, when sirens sounded in the eastern part of the country, and a warning was issued for the Lublin Voivodeship.
Previous Incidents
This is not the first case of Russian drones penetrating the airspace of NATO member states. Just a few days ago, on the night of September 10, during a massive attack on Ukraine, over two dozen drones entered Poland.
The Polish air defense forces managed to destroy only four of them. The incident raised serious concerns in Warsaw and became a topic of discussion at NATO level.
The alarm in Romania and Poland due to the threat of attacks by Russian drones indicates an escalation of the situation in the region. This directly affects the security of European countries and can have serious consequences for international relations. Monitoring events in this context is becoming increasingly relevant and important for understanding the future development of the situation.
