The intelligence revealed how the Russian Federation lures citizens into the war against Ukraine.
The Russian authorities are increasing financial payments to attract volunteers to the war with Ukraine. According to GUR, the amount of one-time payment in some regions reaches over 2 million rubles, and in Samara, it is nearly 4 million. This increase in bonuses indicates difficulties in forming military units. It is becoming increasingly challenging for the Russian authorities to find a sufficient number of people willing to serve in the army, even for high rewards.
A Syrian intermediary is recruiting Syrians for a trip to Russia, promising to exploit gold mines and diamond deposits in Yakutia, as well as obtain a Russian passport.
According to an investigation by journalist Vadih El Khayek in Novaya Gazeta, Syrian mercenaries, even without understanding the Russian language, are signing contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense. According to the intermediary, they will arrive in Yakutia to guard gold mines and diamond deposits. The salary will be about 2000 dollars per month, and in addition, they will receive a Russian passport.
