According to The Sun: RUBEN AMORIM hopes his team Manchester United finally reaches maturity after demonstrating a 'mature' game.

The Portuguese coach experienced tension after the embarrassing defeat to Brentford last week.

But this time, United's game was far from childlike.

Goals in the first half from Mason Mount and newcomer Benjamin Sesko indicated a more mature performance, while debutant goalkeeper Senne Lammens did not concede a single goal.

Amorim noted:

“It wasn't a perfect game - we had our moments. But we were a competitive and mature team.”

English player Mount was given a chance to play instead of costly signing Matheus Cunha and justified the coach's trust at the start of the match.

After the game, he assured that the team fully supports Amorim, despite rumors of a potential loss of the coach's job.

Mount said:

“We are 100% behind the coach. We had results that disappointed us - the team, the coaching staff, and the fans.”

“But it was an important victory.”

Amorim also added:

“I feel it throughout the week, but we need to show it on the pitch. Sometimes they know they can play better.”

Upcoming Challenges

After the international break, United will travel to Liverpool and then host Brentford - teams they have had trouble with in recent years.

Amorim expressed frustration that his team cannot achieve victory twice in a row.

He added:

“There is no momentum with or without the international break.”

Sesko, after his debut goal at the club last weekend, scored another one at Old Trafford, and said:

“It was important to win the game for the overall mood.”

Sunderland could not recover after two early goals. They hoped for a penalty at the end of the first half for a high kick from Sesko, but the decision was overturned by VAR.

Head coach Régis Le Bris emphasized:

“We are disappointed, but we are still a young team that lacks experience, so we will see ups and downs.”

“Obviously, we don't want to be too negative when we lose, but it's a powerful reminder as this league is very demanding.”

Manchester United's success in this match was an important step towards team stability, especially after tough times. The support of players and the coach could play a key role in upcoming matches against big rivals. Due to participation in international matches, the team will have the opportunity to rethink their strategies and prepare for new challenges in the Premier League.
