Manchester United considers Alan Curbishley's candidacy: why Amorim is already being criticized.
According to The Sun: Ruben Amorim was harshly ridiculed in a new comedic entertainment video from Paddy Power, where Manchester United reaches out to Alan Curbishley with an offer to become their new manager.
The former Charlton and West Ham manager fits notably into the clip, which ironically reflects United's problems under Amorim's leadership.
Ruben Amorim was mocked by Paddy Power for his management at Manchester United Getty Former Premier League manager Alan Curbishley also participated in the joke when he was 'looked up' by United Paddy PowerThe Red Devils have only earned 31 points from 31 matches since the Portuguese took over from Erik ten Hag last November. The team finished last season in 15th place and started the new one poorly, despite significant spending.
United won only one of their first four matches and lost 3-0 in the derby against Manchester City on Sunday.
Paddy Power highlighted the uncertainty regarding Amorim's future in a social media clip featuring Curbishley.
Curbishley, who managed Charlton from 1991 to 2006 and then West Ham until 2008, has refrained from taking managerial positions, however, he was a technical director at Fulham from 2013 to 2015.
In a new video from Paddy Power, Curbishley is presented as 'the coach who can save' United. He notes:
“Management, I could still do. The game has changed, but I haven’t. I’m still as good as ever.'
He continued:
“I have a tactical board, I’m ready to go, name the club, I’ll go there. League One, League Two, I’d even consider the Scottish Premier League.'
All I ask is for one club, one club, to give me a chance.”

At the end of the video, Curbishley receives a phone call from United chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe. However, he decides not to answer the call, stating: “Thank God for that,” as the line goes dead.
He then asks his wife about “the new number,” before throwing his mobile phone in the trash.
Viewers appreciated the video, with one writing: “Just one club, not ‘that’ club.”
Another commentator noted: “Curbishley hit the mark.”
Another added: “Now that's comedy.”
And another fan pointed out: “This is getting out of control.”
Amid the jokes about the situation at Manchester United, the uncertainty around Ruben Amorim's future becomes increasingly noticeable. Their poor start to the season and declining results make fans ponder potential changes in the coaching staff. The video from Paddy Power not only entertained fans but also drew attention to serious issues concerning the team and its future development. Read also
