Amorim Plans No Departure from Manchester United

According to The Sun: Head Coach of Manchester United Ruben Amorim assured that he does not intend to leave the club. Although the team is going through a difficult time after a humiliating defeat in the Carabao Cup, the coach expressed his emotions but reminded that such feelings arise after disappointing results.

During the international break happening next week, Amorim plans important talks with the club's management.

Gareth Southgate, former manager of the English national team, is one of the possible candidates for the coaching position at Manchester United in case of Amorim's dismissal.

“I don’t know what will happen to me after the game against Burnley. This is my idea,” said Amorim.

After the game against Burnley, two more key matches await United - against Manchester City and Chelsea.

Resignation and Emotions

At the press conference in Carrington, Amorim admitted that he sometimes thought about the possibility of resigning from his position.

“Sometimes I hate my players, sometimes I love them, sometimes I want to protect them,” added the Portuguese.
“Sometimes I want to leave, sometimes I want to be here for 20 years,” he emphasized.

He also emphasized that he does not intend to change his working style, as every defeat affects his emotional state.

United started the season without wins in three games, and the coach plans to discuss the poor start with sporting director Jason Wilcox.

“I have all these conversations with him,” said Amorim.

He also confirmed that the team is ready to win to improve the situation at the club.

Manchester United has agreed with Chelsea on a fee of 40 million pounds for the sale of Argentine Alejandro Garnacho, and Rasmus Hojlund may also soon leave the club. However, the club refused to grant the 20-year-old midfielder Kobbie Mainoo a loan contract.

“I want Kobbie to stay. He needs to fight for his place, and we need Kobbie,” emphasized Amorim.
Manchester United finds itself in a difficult situation after starting the season without wins, and it is time to take action to improve the situation. In the discussions with the management and the communication with the players, the coach is trying to make the necessary changes to stop the crisis. The situation requires urgent decisions as opponents will not give any chance for mistakes.
