Manchester United Failed to Secure Semenyo Transfer: Player Declined Due to Low Salary.
Failed Deal with Semenyo
According to The Sun: Ruben Amorim, coach of Manchester United, invited the Premier League star for dinner, but the player declined a move upon learning about the salary offered by the club.
During the summer transfer window, the Red Devils actively sought new players, signing Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko, and goalkeeper Senn Lamens.

United 'aggressively' aimed to sign Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, who recorded 20 assists last season. The clubs reached an agreement on personal terms, and Manchester hoped for an arrangement with Bournemouth as well.
During negotiations, it became known that the club was willing to pay a maximum of £55 million for Semenyo. The pursuit of trophies led Amorim and Semenyo to meet for dinner in London towards the end of the last season — a common practice in negotiations regarding Cunha and Mbeumo.
However, the deal collapsed when Semenyo signed a new five-year contract with Bournemouth, learning that his future salary at United would be only 70% of what was offered to other players.

New Situation in the Team
This season, Semenyo has already scored two goals and provided one assist in three matches, so, according to journalist Duncan Castles, he will again receive many offers next summer if he maintains such performance.
Overall, United has spent over £200 million on new transfers, and currently, only Mbeumo has scored in the match against Burnley. Cunha suffered an injury in the match, and it is currently unknown when he will be able to return to play. The team is set to face serious opponents like Manchester City, Chelsea, and Brentford after the international break.
