According to The Sun: Rugby fans were astonished when star Reece Walsh posted a video of him drinking water from a toilet.
The Brisbane Broncos player published this video on TikTok earlier in the week.

In the video, he attempted to drink several handfuls of water flowing from the toilet.
Before daring to make this joke, Walsh jokingly stated that it would help him recover his muscles.
“They say there's a new way to recover your muscles. They believe if you, you know, drink water from the toilet, it will help.”
Walsh's act quickly became a topic of discussion on social media, and the Broncos team was forced to release a statement explaining that the player drank water from a completely new, unused toilet.
“The club confirms that Walsh is currently renovating his home and has installed a completely new toilet in a new bathroom that has not been used yet.”
“This video was an unsuccessful attempt at a joke that Walsh posted privately.”

“No one should take this video seriously or act on this advice.”
Further actions of Walsh
After the team's statement, the 23-year-old player decided to continue his antics by changing his Instagram avatar to an image of himself in a plumber's suit.
He also mentioned the video during the celebration of the Broncos' victory with a score of 30-14 over the Melbourne Storm on Thursday.
“Here he is, Reece Walsh. Here’s your water, here’s your plumbing.”
Commentator Dan Ginnane commented on Walsh's celebration: “They shouldn’t release a statement about this... and this water is definitely tasty.”
This incident and the team's reaction confirm that humor in sports can have its limits, and players should be cautious with their antics, as they may provoke mixed reactions from fans and media. Reece Walsh, one way or another, attracted attention to himself, but not in a very traditional way. It seems that his creativity might be linked to further discussions about the standards of athlete behavior.
