Putin wants the disappearance of Ukrainians: Portnikov on the true goal of the Kremlin's war

According to ТСН: Vitaliy Portnikov, a Ukrainian publicist, believes that Putin's goal in the war against Ukraine is the 'disappearance of Ukrainians' from the territories that he considers 'Russian'. This concerns the entire Ukraine.

Portnikov noted that Ukrainians could never coexist peacefully in the Russian Federation.

'Putin and the Russian Shahists of the 20th century have drawn a real conclusion from the mistakes of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. The Russian Empire and the Soviet Union were ready to leave Ukrainians on their Ukrainian lands in exchange for superficial loyalty. But as soon as a crisis occurred in the Russian Empire or the Soviet Union, Ukrainians immediately sought ways to freedom, thereby completely ruining the imperial organism. For the empire to remain healthy, Ukrainians must disappear from the territory that Russians consider Russian,' he said.

In his opinion, Putin intends to transform the entire territory of Ukraine into 'Russian'.

'As you understand, this territory literally includes everything you see on geographical maps. During World War I, Russian poets wrote inspired poems about how 'we returned to Russian Lviv, now it is no longer a foreign Lviv, but the old city of Vladimir.' All this was published in the newspapers of the Russian Empire - not the Soviet Union. Then they decided it would be better to create a Ukrainian decoration and try to appease the Ukrainians themselves. But from Putin's point of view, that was a mistake, because this Ukraine had already withdrawn from the Soviet Union at the beginning,' emphasized Vitaliy Portnikov.

Portnikov also emphasized that the Russian dictator Putin does not plan a peace treaty or an end to the war against Ukraine.

The statements of Vitaliy Portnikov highlight the deep concern about Russia's strategic intentions in Ukraine. The situation remains tense, and the views of such experts largely shape the understanding of the causes and possible consequences of the war. The question of peace negotiations remains open, but the chances of conflict resolution in the near future seem low. Observers continue to monitor developments as the situation in Ukraine remains critical.
