This year, he returned to golf, winning the Biarritz Cup on the Alpine Tour.

Dubuisson opted to forgo the £40,000 prize money, as he has always emphasized that he plays golf for the feeling of victory, not for financial gain.

This may have prompted him to leave professional golf to focus on mentoring young players.

Currently, he offers personalized training programs for golfers at the luxurious Abama Golf resort in Tenerife and admits he is very satisfied with his choice.

Dubuisson stated: “It’s a dream here. The weather, the golf course. It’s a dream.”

“I received a very warm welcome here.

“We have a great academy, a 350-yard practice range. It’s the best place I’ve ever seen for training.

“I spend time with many different people every week and have made a lot of new friends.”

“When you spend a week with people, you get to know them. I met a lot of great people, and it’s a completely different life.”

Dubuisson’s life used to look very different: he won four titles on the European Tour, including defeating Tiger Woods for his first professional victory at the Turkish Open in 2013.

He also made a significant contribution to the European team's victory at the Ryder Cup in 2014.

Partnered with Graeme McDowell, they defeated Phil Mickelson and current captain Keegan Bradley, and then secured a win over James Walker and Rickie Fowler.

Dubuisson earned 2.5 points, tying with Zach Johnson in singles, helping Europe defend their title after the Miracle in Medinah two years ago.

“Ryder Cup, definitely. It was incredible, the feeling of playing at the Ryder Cup.”

“It’s a completely different tournament. I won in Turkey, played in many majors, finished in the top 10, but it was something else entirely.

“You feel a lot of stress, but it’s good stress. I was very nervous the night before, but when you’re on the course, you don’t feel nervousness.

“You’re in your little bubble and focusing. The night before was hard to sleep. It’s completely different from playing for yourself.

“It’s the best feeling, but it can also be the worst if you miss. That feeling multiplies because you’re playing for a team. We’re not used to that in golf.”

Victor Dubuisson’s transition from professional golf to mentoring young athletes demonstrates his commitment not only to victory but also to passing on experience to the next generations. His new role in Tenerife allows him to find joy in interacting with young players while maintaining a connection to the game he loves. Thus, although his career as a player is over, this new phase is filled with inspiration for both him and his students.
