Despite the tense atmosphere, McIlroy earned 1.5 points on Friday, winning the match in foursomes, though he failed to hold the win in four-balls due to a poor shot.

Aggressive American fans started shouting insults at him again on Saturday morning.

Before the first game started around 7 AM, the crowd repeatedly heard shouts of “f*** you, Rory,” after the host's unsuccessful attempt to lift the mood.

The level of aggression grew as McIlroy entered the second match paired with Tommy Fleetwood.

“Rory is ready for this! A sarcastic kiss to American fans,” commented one spectator.

As the crowd continued to get rowdy, McIlroy delivered an impressive response. Standing his ground, he smiled and made a gesture as if he didn’t care.

As he scored points, one of the fans filmed: “This is the only way to respond to us, New Yorkers. We will appreciate him more for this response. Cool, Rory.”

However, the fans' attack did affect McIlroy. He could not execute his first shot and lost the first hole.

Furthermore, during his game with Shane Lowry on Thursday, McIlroy seemingly made an offensive gesture to the spectators.

These events underscore the emotional pressure faced by professional athletes, especially during major tournaments. While aggressive shouts from spectators can impact players, it is important to remember that such situations are part of competition. Like Rory McIlroy, many athletes have their own style of responding to such pressure, adding intrigue to the game.

The success of players under these conditions often depends on their ability to maintain calm and focus, as experience shows, real strength is manifested not only in the physical aspects of the game but also in psychological resilience.
