How to obtain Nectar points

The supermarket is collaborating with frozen food brand Birds Eye to provide prizes, as well as special prices on products. From now until October 7, customers can scan their Nectar card when purchasing any Birds Eye product at Sainsbury's to enter the giveaway.

One winner will receive one million Nectar points, which is equivalent to at least £5,000, while two others will win 500,000 points each, worth at least £2,500.

Additionally, some classic Birds Eye meals are being offered at special prices: chicken nuggets for £2.50, and fish fingers for just £1.50.

This is truly the largest number of Nectar points ever seen in the frozen section, making this promotion a great opportunity to stock the freezer for autumn.

Customers who scan any Birds Eye product with their Nectar card at Sainsbury's will automatically be entered into the prize draw. Each purchase is counted for entry.

Winners will be chosen at random and contacted within 28 days after the promotion ends.

Frozen Birds Eye peas can be purchased for just £2.50 with Nectar.

Chocolate price reductions

Sainsbury's has also recently reduced prices on dozens of chocolates, highlighting a “great” deal. Several Cadbury chocolates have been reduced to under £1, while Twirl bites cost just 97 pence. This promotion will last until Sunday, September 21, and is only available to Nectar card holders.

This year, Sainsbury's has also made significant changes to its Nectar loyalty programs, introducing personalized “Your Nectar Prices” for the first time in July.

This plan allows customers to earn points on purchases that can be converted into discounts.

Previously, discounts were only available for online orders or through the Smart Shop app. Now, shoppers can use these discounts at checkout by simply scanning their Nectar card.

Discounts are updated every Friday, giving shoppers regular opportunities to save on staple items and discover new favorites.

How does the Nectar program work?

As part of the Nectar program, shoppers accumulate points when purchasing specific items in stores and online.

You earn 1 Nectar point for every £1 spent at Sainsbury's and 1 point for every liter of fuel purchased at Sainsbury's filling stations.

You can also earn points with partners such as Esso and eBay.

To get started, download the Nectar app and register to receive a Nectar e-card.

Simply swipe your card during purchases to accumulate points that can be used for discounts on future purchases.

Each point is worth 0.5 pence, so 500 points gives you a £2.50 discount.

As a Nectar member, you also gain access to Nectar prices, which offer discounts on selected products when you scan your card at checkout or add it to your online order.

Additionally, through the “Your Nectar Prices” program, you will receive personalized discounts on items you regularly purchase.

In this way, Sainsbury's actively engages its customers in promotions, offering them beneficial opportunities to save and earn rewards. The reduction in chocolate prices and the chance to win large prizes in Nectar points make shopping at this supermarket even more enjoyable and rewarding.

This promotion emphasizes how important it is for supermarkets not only to attract customers but also to maintain their loyalty through enticing offers and loyalty programs.
