According to The Sun: Steven Fletcher, a 38-year-old footballer who left Urefsc in May, announced his retirement. He emphasized that representing Scotland was one of the greatest honors of his life.

Fletcher, who started his career at Hibernian, had plans to return to the club this summer, but the transfer did not happen.
Throughout his career, he played over 750 matches and scored 190 goals.
Fletcher shared that, although football had been his life since childhood, it was now time to close this chapter.
“When I look back, I feel only pride and gratitude,” Fletcher wrote on Instagram.
“Playing for Scotland has been one of the greatest honors of my career,” Fletcher noted.
Fletcher won the League Cup with Hibernian in 2007, scoring two goals in a match against Kilmarnock.
He played for various clubs, including Sunderland, Marseille, and Dundee United.
After leaving Dundee United, Fletcher signed a contract with Urefsc, where he helped the team promote from League Two to Championship.
“Football has given me more than I could have ever imagined, and I walk away with a full heart, proud of what I have achieved, and looking forward to what comes next,” he concluded.
Former teammates expressed their support, highlighting his achievements in his career.
John McGinn said, “What a guy.”
Kevin Thomson added, “What a player. Enjoy, mate. See you on Tour soon!”
