The second participant of Good Night, Cinderella has been arrested: Brazilian police are searching for a third suspect in the attack on tourists.
Arrest of fraudsters in Brazil
According to The Sun: Law enforcement has arrested two fraudsters connected with the 'Good Night Cinderella' scheme. A search is ongoing for a third group member who preys on vulnerable tourists.
The second suspect turned out to be 26-year-old Mayara Ketelin Americo da Silva, who was arrested for poisoning and robbing two British tourists.
NewsflashThe scheme aims to defraud innocent tourists whom the fraudsters exploit at the right moment.
Britons Michal Petrowicz and Diego Gravo became victims while celebrating their graduation in Brazil.
Video recorded the moment when the men 'collapsed and fell' on Ipanema beach in Rio de Janeiro.
After their collapse, the fraudsters fled in a taxi. Authorities found that they tried to transfer £16,000 from one of the victims' bank accounts, but this failed due to facial recognition systems. However, they managed to steal £3,100 and £1,800 in several transactions.
Americo da Silva was arrested at a hotel in Bonsucesso following an anonymous tip-off.
Continued search and security measures
Investigators noted that the suspect changed her hair color and underwent cosmetic procedures in an attempt to evade capture. Her arrest occurred a few weeks after the first suspect, 23-year-old Amanda Kuto Deloka, was detained on August 18.
The third suspect, 27-year-old Raine Campos de Oliveira, remains at large.
After a series of scams, an urgent warning was issued for Britons traveling to Brazil. A prosecutor’s representative in Rio explained that the women invited tourists to continue celebrating on Ipanema beach, offering them cactuses mixed with drugs.
'These girls often drug tourists because they are more vulnerable,' said Patricia Aleman, head of the tourism support department.
The accused are charged with aggravated robbery, electronic fraud, and criminal association. The victims are also seeking £4,600 in compensation from each of them.

Arrests were approved by a judge of the XIX Criminal Court in Rio due to the danger posed by the gang and the risk of reoffending.
This criminal activity has forced authorities to reinforce security measures for tourists, as such incidents can severely affect Brazil's image as a popular tourist destination. British visitors must be particularly cautious and avoid suspicious situations to avoid becoming victims of new scams.
