Harry Kane may leave Bayern for £56 million: what's behind the unusual clause.
According to The Sun: Harry Kane may leave 'Bayern' this summer for a reduced price due to an interesting clause in his contract.
The 32-year-old England captain could leave the club for just £56.7 million at the end of this season, despite his impressive scoring record and two years remaining on his contract.
According to reports from the German publication Bild, this buyout clause could be activated if Kane expresses a desire to leave the club before the winter transfer window closes.
This amount seems absurd compared to the £86 million that 'Bayern' paid for Kane to bring him from 'Tottenham' in 2023.
Although Kane remains in excellent form – scoring 98 goals and providing 29 assists in 103 matches for 'Bayern', he has dismissed any rumors of a potential move, assuring that his family is happy in Germany.
“You know, in football and in life, you never know what tomorrow will bring. But I really am happy here, in Munich. My family has settled. My kids love learning here, so yes, this is my life here for the foreseeable future.”
“I love the coach. I love this team. I think we are just starting a successful period for this club, and I want to be part of it. So who knows how many years, but I obviously want to stay here for a while.”
Nevertheless, the possibility of returning to the Premier League to try to break Alan Shearer's record may change Kane's mind. He is currently second on the all-time top scorers list with 213 goals, 47 goals behind Shearer, who has 260 goals.
Rumors about his return to the English league have been circulating since his departure, with 'Manchester United', 'Liverpool', and 'Tottenham' among the clubs showing interest.
It is known that 'Tottenham' has included a buyback option, which gives them priority if 'Bayern' decides to sell their star player.
