In 2024, the average salary of Ukrainians surpassed the pre-war level.

According to the State Statistics Service, the average salary of regular employees in the third quarter of 2024 increased by 22.3% to 21,946 UAH. This is 56.6% more than in 2021.

In dollar equivalent, the salary also increased - from 514 dollars in 2021 to 532 dollars.

National Bank Forecasts

The National Bank of Ukraine in its Inflation Report for April 2024 stated that the nominal salary of Ukrainians will continue to grow. It is predicted that in 2024 the nominal salary will increase by 14.8%, and the real salary - by 8.1%. In 2025, a growth of the nominal salary by 14.2% is expected, while the real salary will grow by 6.5%. In 2026, nominal salary growth of 8.6% is predicted, and the real salary - by 3.0%.

Salary Growth in Ukrainian Companies

Ukrainian enterprises are also raising salaries to attract and retain personnel, especially in the situation of labor shortages. According to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the average salary for resumes on job search websites increased to 19,873 UAH at the beginning of April, which represents growth compared to 2023. Salaries in vacancies also increased to 18,728 UAH.

Pension Indexation

The government has determined that pension indexation will be carried out annually from March 1, according to the Budget Declaration for 2025-2027 approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
