The bride Nadeen and her husband George Farahat were celebrating their wedding surrounded by family and friends when the thief unexpectedly showed up.

A man in black was spotted on video recorded by one of the 300 guests. According to ABC7, he spent about 90 minutes at the wedding reception in Los Angeles before the theft.

Bride Nadeen shared that she was deeply disappointed after discovering the theft.

“As soon as we found out what happened, the music stopped, everything abruptly came to a halt,” she said.

“I found myself on the dance floor, in tears with friends and cousins around me.”

The security camera footage shows the stranger loitering by the entrance, holding a mobile phone, before stealing the box and quickly leaving the venue.

He was seen wandering back and forth, going to the restroom, and even ordering a drink while guests were celebrating on the dance floor.

“The thief was very bold,” George said.
“I think he even tipped the bartender,” he added.

The last footage from the video shows the man running to the dance floor, picking something up, and fleeing the premises. Outside, he was recorded on video getting into a black Mercedes-Benz.

“It was a great party until this incident happened,” George said.

He explained that in Middle Eastern culture, “most people give money or checks at weddings.”

“So there was a box with all the envelopes, cards, and cash from family and friends who were invited,” he added.

One of Nadeen's close friends captured this unpleasant moment on camera.

“This is such an unforgettable and happy day when you are having so much fun,” Nadeen said.
“You don't think about such things - it's the last thing that could cross anyone's mind.”

The couple hired extra security for the wedding and has already filed a police report. They are offering a $5000 reward for tips.

“Looking at the dance floor, he was even watching our family,” Nadeen said.
“It's so scary to look back and see that a stranger was at such a private dining event.”

The excited couple also noted that they are trying to focus on the positive moments of the day.

“We had a wonderful ceremony at our church, we had a great time with family and friends,” George said.
“Someone said that... when it rains on your wedding day, it usually means good things are ahead,” Nadeen added.
“When someone steals money and your box on wedding day, we will adhere to that same trend. We are just very grateful.”

The couple does not want to receive donations to make up for the stolen money - they just want the suspect to be found.
