Napoli and Sporting Fans Clash in Street Fight: Video from Naples.
Corinth: Unpleasant Clashes Ahead of Matches
According to The Sun: Football fans engaged in a fight and threw chairs before the Champions League match.
A clash occurred in Naples between Napoli and Sporting fans before the match at Diego Maradona Stadium.
X/NapoliNetworkXFootage from a balcony showed fans from both teams attacking each other with chairs and sticks near a bar.
Some fans threw various objects, causing local residents to flee in panic.
Among the fans, some were seen wearing helmets, indicating a possible organization of the fight.
The violent scenes lasted for several minutes as bystanders tried to escape.
Eventually, one group of fans fled in one direction while the other remained in the opposite direction.
Situation Before the Match
In the evening, Sporting, the champions of Portugal, will face the Italian champions Napoli on the field.
However, Sporting's team preparations left much to be desired.
Their flight was delayed for four hours at Lisbon Airport due to traffic and technical issues.
As a result, Sporting arrived in Naples only at 11 PM, leading to the cancellation of coach Rui Borges' press conference.
Players who hoped for a good night's sleep were also left disappointed.
Napoli fans set off numerous fireworks near the Sporting hotel at night, so the Portuguese club likely had to arrange for emergency sleep ahead of the important game.
These events highlight the tension and emotions that always accompany major football confrontations. Fans on both sides clearly care deeply about their teams, but the escalation of violence cannot be justified. We hope the match will proceed without incidents and bring only positive emotions to the fans.
