According to UATV: Between July 1 and July 5, 2023, the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck 37 energy nodes in the temporarily occupied southern regions of Ukraine. These actions aim to dismantle the occupiers' infrastructure, which Robert 'Madjar' Brovda describes as a

Targeted Facilities

During this period, 16 energy nodes in Crimea came under attack within the last 48 hours. The struck facilities include:

  • Kovylne
  • Stepne
  • Yany Kapu
  • Traktove
  • Nyva
  • Zymnie
  • Bakhchysarai
  • Saky
  • Zakhidno-Krymska
  • Slavianske

Additionally, the 'Henichesk' and 'Overianovka' substations in the Kherson region were also hit.

An electrical substation in Lozovsky and Pokrovsky in the Luhansk region was targeted, as well as facilities in Preobrazhenka, Kherson region, and Novovasylyivka, Zaporizhzhia region. These strikes reflect a deliberate strategy by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to degrade the enemy's energy infrastructure in occupied territories.

These attacks underscore Ukraine's intensified efforts in the context of military operations in the country's south, particularly in Crimea, where energy infrastructure is critical for supporting both military and civilian needs of the occupiers. Disabling such assets can significantly complicate logistics and sustainment for enemy units, potentially influencing the conflict's trajectory. For an English-speaking audience, this campaign highlights Ukraine's growing reliance on drone warfare to systematically weaken Russian occupation capabilities.
