According to UATV: On June 27, 2023, Ukraine's Defense Forces reported the elimination of 1,350 Russian military personnel within a 24-hour period. In addition, 12 armored combat vehicles and 58 artillery systems were destroyed. Ukrainian troops also shot down 1,951 enemy drones.
Since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24, 2022, cumulative Russian combat losses as of June 27, 2023, have reached approximately 1,399,720 personnel. Other notable losses suffered by the Russian military during this timeframe include:
- 12,060 tanks
- 24,835 armored combat vehicles
- 44,857 artillery systems
- 1,899 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS)
- 1,447 air defense systems
Furthermore, the following equipment has been destroyed since the conflict began:
- 436 aircraft
- 353 helicopters
- 1,740 ground robotic complexes
- 375,611 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles
- 4,790 cruise missiles
- 33 naval vessels and boats
- 2 submarines
- 112,634 units of automotive equipment and fuel tankers
- 4,353 units of specialized equipment
These figures highlight the severe toll the ongoing conflict has taken on the Russian armed forces, now lasting over a year.
The high rates of personnel and equipment losses could degrade the enemy's offensive capabilities and shift the dynamics on the battlefield. Ukraine's forces continue to conduct active operations, demonstrating their ability to inflict significant damage on the adversary, while underscoring the critical role of international support in sustaining the country's defense capabilities.
