Defense forces hit a military airfield in the Lipetsk region of the Russian Federation – General Staff.
Ukrainian defense forces attacked the airfield and military plant of the Russian occupiers at night. A special message from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports the shelling of the "Lipetsk-2" military airfield in the Lipetsk region. The main targets were enemy ammunition depots, fuel and lubricants, and aircraft. Su-34, Su-35, and MiG-31 aircraft are located at the airfield. Additionally, the Ukrainian defense forces attacked the Sverdlov plant in the city of Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region. The plant produces chemicals for artillery ammunition and explosive aerial bombs, and also stores guided aerial bombs. Explosions were frequent in the area of both sites, and enemy air defense was actively engaged. The results of the attack are currently being clarified.
Recall that explosions also occurred this night in the city of Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region, caused by an attack by drones and air defense systems. The Sverdlov plant, which is part of Russia's military-industrial complex, was damaged. Later, sources in the SBU confirmed that the attack was carried out by drones from the SBU, SSO, and GUR.
