A shelter with educational zones will be built in Odesa region — what is the cost.

The project of a shelter that will be used as an educational and medical space is planned to be implemented in the territory of a lyceum in Odesa region. The cost of this project exceeds 122 million hryvnias. This was reported by the electronic procurement portal Prozorro.

The new protective structure will be located on the premises of Mayaki Lyceum in Mayaki village. This facility has two functions - in the event of an emergency, it will serve as a shelter and an educational space for students and staff. The tender for this project was announced on July 10, 2025, and the submission of documents is possible until July 25. It is planned to complete the work by March 31, 2026, with the expected project cost exceeding 122 million hryvnias.

• Fire protection systems: automatic smoke detectors, manual alarms, sirens, bells, and other equipment.
• Notification systems: microphone consoles, loudspeakers, acoustic systems.
• Electrical equipment: uninterruptible power supply sources, junction boxes, timers, and more.
• Equipment for safety and medical services.
• Infrastructure for the inclusion of people with disabilities and residential areas.

The project includes backup power sources, batteries, ventilation systems, and other equipment to ensure the safety and autonomy of the shelter. It should be noted that currently there are civil protection facilities in Odesa, but their number does not meet the needs of the city. There is also a lack of shelters along the coast for vacationers.
