Ukrainian Forces Strike Russian S-300 Systems and Ammunition Depots: Details of the Attacks.
Ukrainian Defense Forces Launch Strikes
According to UATV: In overnight operations on March 1, Ukrainian Defense Forces targeted Russian military installations in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. These strikes, which hit radar stations and ammunition depots, demonstrate Ukraine's continued active military operations against the invading forces.
Targets Hit in the Attacks
The strikes successfully hit the following targets:
- Radar stations for the S-300 and S-300V4 surface-to-air missile systems;
- An ammunition depot in temporarily occupied territory;
- A fuel and lubricants storage facility in Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
- Command posts for Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), located in Russia's Belgorod Oblast, as well as in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia.
According to military reports, 870 Russian personnel were eliminated over the past day. The attacks also destroyed three air defense systems, two tanks, and nearly 60 artillery pieces. These actions are part of Ukraine's ongoing effort to degrade the enemy's combat capabilities. Strikes on high-value assets like air defense radars are a key component of Ukraine's strategy to disrupt Russian logistics and command.
These operations form part of Ukraine's broader strategic campaign to weaken Russian military infrastructure amid the ongoing conflict. Destroying critical assets such as radar stations and ammunition depots can significantly impact the Russian military's ability to conduct operations. Such attacks underscore Ukraine's active efforts to reclaim territory and defend its sovereignty in the region.
