Sir Jim Ratcliffe held urgent talks with Amorim after Manchester United's disastrous start.

According to The Sun: Manchester United's chief executive, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, flew to Manchester to meet Ruben Amorim after the team's disappointing start to the season.

The pressure on Amorim is increasing: his team has only won one of their first five games of the season.

According to The Athletic, Ratcliffe arrived at Carrington training ground by helicopter to hold a series of meetings, including with Amorim.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe currently supports Amorim, stating in March that “that’s why he really likes him.”

“Yes, I like him. He is a very thoughtful guy. Every time I come to the training ground, I talk to Ruben,” he said.

“I sit down with him over a cup of coffee, tell him where everything is going wrong, and he replies to me that I should mind my own business. I like that.
